2019 in a nut shell

So first and foremost its been an amazing 2019 at Mark Hamill Photography.

I became a Daddy for the second time in April to my beautiful little woman Mila and she has sparked a ton of smiles and cuteness at our home again with her infectious wee fat face and happy personality.

I loved covering a collection of weddings this year and meeting some amazing and inspirational couples, at the beginning of the year I shot Ashling and Sean’s Wedding, Sean had been fighting terminal cancer and after a mountain of phone calls and organising all the family pulled together and made it happen for this amazing couple, two weeks after the wedding Sean lost his fight with cancer but the real value of a photograph means so much more when your family cherish each tiny moment captured, it was my honour and privilege to be invited to capture this special day.

I always know its important to appreciate everything you have but I find its even more important to give something back, Photography Workshops have become a passion of mine over the past 3 years not only to give something back to the photography community but also the epic charities that run critical services in and around our wee city, My 2019 Workshops have raised £1230.00 for amazing charities like Macmillan, Foyle Search and Rescue and Cancer Research Northern Ireland

Branding photography isn’t something I ever planned to go into but local companies like Urban Tonic, Bareknuckle Barber Shop, Richmond Centre, Se7en Clothing Limavady, and Derry City and Strabane Council have all networked with me this year with pro headshots and branding shoots, I love the challenge of collaborating with other artistic ideas and can’t wait to work with you all again!
